First of all, Happy Belated Feast of Saint Valentine. Being in a relationship on such a day essentially means that I have my right to complain about V-Day revoked by literally everyone else, so I won't give my usual rant about Hallmark-induced consumerism.
Sorry to be one of those people, but my day was great. I came home to find a package at my door containing this:
Which in turn led to this:
Which is probably the most likes that I have received for anything, ever.

Boredom Begets Curious Behavior
Behind on reports, presentations to prepare for, mundane tasks that I
could be getting ahead on... Every Friday, as I leave the office, it
always seems like such a great idea to bring my work computer home. And
yet, without fail, this is me, every weekend:
30 minutes and a convenient distraction later:
Why, yes. I have stacked laptops before. ...Not while they were running, mind you ...
>.>
<.<
There's just something about my couch that turns my weekend existence into the Black Hole of Sloth. Inevitably, though, I become guilty about not doing anything productive, and I start feeling that creeping nihilism/boredom that somehow thrusts me into the throes of creative desire.
So did I write my reports and practice my presentation?
Of course not.
This Sunday, I played in the kitchen from 8-12.

Hearts, Kisses, and Holiday Well Wishes
Holy Sweet Fricker-Fracker. An unacceptable amount of time has passed since I last posted. In my defense, I was really busy:
I mean. Super effing busy.

A Very Sandy Halloween
This post is extremely late, so sorry for that. I meant to write it closer to Halloween proper, but with Frankenstorm Sandy knocking out my Internet service all the way into the second week of November, that wasn't going to happen. Instead, I did quite a lot of reading - J.R.R. Tolkien became my bedfellow for about 4 days.
All things considered, though, I actually was quite lucky. Aside from a plethora of destroyed tiles
there wasn't much else that was damaged in the surrounding areas (minus maybe some downed lines). Driving to and from work was much more of an eye opener. I could get a picture while behind the wheel, but there were full-grown trees, ripped up from the root, lying against porches. I got away with a few days power (and a freezer full of luke-warm water), but that was the worst of it.
Enough of the morose, though.

| And no damaged cars either... talk about fortunate. |
